Notes
Kid started out really fast, thought he'd gone out too fast, but he didn't slow after a mile. Another guy passed me at about 1 mile point, so I was in 3rd, hoping theyd slow and I would keep pace.
About halfway point, heard footsteps behind me...didn't feel like I could go much harder without hurling. Tried to lose him on an uphill, but still there.
Goint back into the park at about mile 2, I looked back and it was a 15 yr old gaining on me. Decided to make him think I was about to light the trail up and picked it up pretty good for about 100 - 150 yds....must have been enough. Didn't look back but listened for footsteps, heard none.
Couldn't catch 1 or 2, so ended up 3rd OA, 1st AG. OK time for the little I've been running.
