Absolutely beautiful day to run, but wasn't looking forward to a 20 miler.
Planned on taking first 6 slow, a little faster thru 14, then faster for final 6.
Legs tired from 5 mile race yesterday, so wasn't sure how this one would go.
Ran from Fitness center on base to UTSI, then out to Wattendorf & back.
Took gel, water @ mile 6.6, carried water from 6.6 to 14 & took another gel @ 14. Legs & hips felt tired at about mile 9 or 10 so wasn't sure I'd be able to pick up the pace. Last 6 felt pretty good, with an avg pace of about 8:23.
(Didn't eat very well yesterday since I had race @ 11, soccer games in Manchester, party @ Deannas, etc. Had 2 strawberry poptarts about 1 - 1.5 hours before running. Really need at least 2 hours.)
