well kevin manix said today would be a wash out. looked outside - not raining yet. go on line and look at the radar. well there IS a wall of water coming. i look at it......"I can beat it." it feels warm out so i throw on my shorts and tech shirt, wrap up and i'm out the door. the warm pockets of air breathe life into me, and so i picture this wall of water to be some 30 year old bitch on my heels and the race was on. wow i feel great! too bad i'm not really racing. 4 miles into it she (the rain)and i was neck and neck. so the mind game continued and i thought if it pours, she'll win, so i kept on. ya i was getting a little wet but not soaked. anyway, i made it, i beat the bitch and still feel great. that was fun. honestly, it still isn't pouring @ 10:30. oh well i had a good time playing mind games with myself. my time wasn't race pace but still good for a jont.
