not so bad of a hurricane in the woods and this was fun. yes, this is flat and straight but you have to really watch the ground cause of plum sized rocks, roots, mud and a very sketchy bridge that even i felt weirdly cautious crossing. one day this will all be boring eastern trail and i would much prefer it if they'd just leave it alone as it is. hopefully the towns and donations will all run short on cash and i'll have this here for a while. plus, what will happen to shanty town if they make this all easy for everyone to access? still it will be nice to say i used to run the eastern trail before it got converted to a public attraction...back in the day when it was wildly shaped for the cool and not suit made restrictive hooflah for the danty dot.
really killed me to have to turn back. i stood there just staring through the tunnel at 109 wanting to just go but i was already late. then i got that thelma and louise thought and it gave me the chills.
i'll be back very soon for mission "to the end".
