Forgot Garmin at home. Went up the farm trail where big arrows led me from rr trail to where farmer carpenter was haying his field. I did not disturb him. Are those arrows for me? I don't know but my ego would love that kind of red carpet laying.
Ran right up on a turkey family on this trail and didn't realize I was in the middle of them till I saw a baby chick running for it's life. Couldn't have been more than a few days old...wow. so I stopped for a moment. never been just a few feet from wild turkeys like that before. Mom just kind of wandered around... then I said goodbye and left.
