Stopped and carried one of those blue yellow spotted salamanders across the road...had to be about six inches long. Biggest salamander I've ever seen probably. Then a ways away I stopped to pick up a injured bird...probably hit by the car that just passed. Cupped in my hand, I got to watch life recede and soft eyes dilate. I layed the body in some leaves.
Glorious.
