behind the jail, there were many metalic green flies...not shit flies, these were big like horse flies. saw them up north too a few weeks ago. anyways they were everywhere when a bunch of dragonflies came swooping in after them...like they were my own personal fleet of protection. it was like i was someone important running threw a war of flashy maggots and these dragonflies were there to keep me from their biting attack. this is what running alone does for me. it allows me to see what i don't when people are around for fear of being myself and/or other.
this was a run with daze. no dinner and a late start ensured her prompt arrival and participation. 2nd half of this she took over the whole thing. what's important to note here is that there are no 14+ minute miles.
things are definately heading in the right direction. the only thing i have to prepare for is running 26 painful miles in a 5ish hour time limit after biking 112. i think these 20 mile daze runs are doing just that. time will tell.
