Publish GPX

Terrain: Asphalt

Notes: Join us for a 6 mile bRUNches of fun run followed by beach day! We will start and end at Station 21 before heading off for a nice run around the scenic streets of Sullivans Island. Sullivans Island is steeped in history. Edgar Allen Poe was stationed at Fort. Moultrie and the Island is featured in several of his writings. Sullivan's Island was the point of entry for approximately 40 percent of the 400,000 enslaved Africans brought to British North America; it has been likened to Ellis Island, the 19th-century reception point for immigrants in New York City. During the American Revolution, the island was the site of a major battle at Fort Sullivan on June 28, 1776, since renamed Fort Moultrie in honor of the American commander at the battle. After the run we will quench our thirsts with some breakfast cocktails (yes they have a drink menu just for brunch drinks) and grab some grub. Then we will grab our beach chairs and head out to the beach at Station 21 for a fun day in the waves. Bring the whole family and enjoy a great summer day with your fellow Park Circle Pacers! https://www.450pizza.com/
