Notes
About as well-prepared as I could be for any race. Ate well, rested well, prepped the night before. Felt very good and relaxed at race start. Lucked out on weather. Would prefer dry, but it was crazy cool for late May and no sun to beat on my pate. Very pleased with result. Was secretly pushing for 1:45. The first mile hurt me a bit, though maybe it saved me from starting too fast??? 8:05 pace with actual Garmin distance of 13.3 miles. Went with Lisa; home with Lisa + Adam. Aime and Laura graciously came out to cheer--an hour late. :P So missed us at Mile 2, but were in place by Mile 10. Still feel pretty good postrace, no quease and not completely shattered. Cool display of law enforcement vehicles around Mile 3-4. Several friends running/volunteering, but didn't bump into many with new security procedures. Saw Kip & Audrey, but not Jeanne, Holly, Laura or Irene. 20.5%
