Notes
This was probably the best strategic race I have ever run in my life. Some guy started off really hot and nobody went with him. I was kind caught up in the back of the pack, so I just decided to stay there and be patient. I eventually kept working my way up the pack until going into 400 left I was in about 4th I think. I went quickly moved into third and I started picking up the pace even more. With 200 to go I moved into second and went after the guy in first. I think i could have caught him had I turned on another gear that I definitely had, but I had to settle for second. I got a PR which is nice but I know I could have run faster. The whole race felt very controlled never once did I feel like I was really pushed past my limit. Maybe I will run it again to break 4 but I would be ok with not racing it again to be completely honest. I am excited about the 5k next week though. I am very confident in my abilities and I now trust myself in races so I think I can run close to a 14:40 which would be awesome.
