Hawthorne Half-Day 12-hr run in Terre Haute, IN, on an unbelievably sticky day.Dew point of 78, heat index over 100, very pretty 5k loop in Hawthorne Park. Ran 10 laps with just walking the hills, then walked 5 laps while drinking buckets of gatorade, etc., then ran/walked the 16th lap, closed with one final 1/2 mile lap at the end. Fun event, but sweltering, oppressive heat. Felt horrible that night, sore for a few days. Drove to Lexington the next day to spend a few days with Mara.
