Ecotrail de Madrid, on a sunny, 43 degree morning from Tres Cantos north of the city, winding its way generally south with lots of SW then SE, then SW, then SE stretches, up and down (3000' of gain), on dirt roads, gnarly single track, perhaps 7 miles of pavement (half near the end), with the sun turning to clouds and a chilly breeze, then rain after about mile 26, finishing in about 46 degree rainy windy weather in the Quatro Torres buildings. Happy to get this one in. Course wasn't all that pretty, three aid stations total (not very good, either), but we knew that going in. Stayed positive all day, got tired and sore by the end. Stats: 55/94 finishers, 51/82 males.
