Notes

Badger to Hudson Half-Marathon on an amazingly cool 63 degree morning, start to finish, from Stillwater, MN to Hudson, WI. Here alone because Kathleen still is in Seattle babysitting while Ben and Rachel are in France. Net downhill course, from 968 to 703, but with about 350 up too, so plenty of rollers and slopes and a few steeper downhills during the race, crossed the St. Croix River during the 12th mile, to head north along the river to the finish line at the Bandshell Park in Hudson. But out to start, bus back to car in Hudson a couple of miles from the finish. Ran a strong race, finishing the 13.29 miles (on my Garmin) in 1:50:51 officially, which is a great pace by my watch (8:21) and even for the official 13.11 (8:28). Avg run cadence was exactly 180.

Mile splits were great:

The main thing is that I got a great workout for my marathon in October. That was the whole point of taking the trip here. Success!
