South on the coastal highway about 4 miles and back with a small detour to see the Carlsbad Rail Trail connector to Agua Hedonia. Nice run on a 57 degree sunny morning with 10-15 NW winds. Missing consecutive blizzards and brutal cold, continuing for the next 10 days, in Ames.
