Marathon! Kiawah Island again, perhaps even more beautiful than I had recalled. Steamy day, high humidity throughout, 66 at start, 68 at finish. Ran big negative splits, out in 2:07, back in 2:00, which was a really great workout, especially in the humid air. Only bummer was that Kathleen didn't run, due to her weird autoimmune condition... But she did get in 15 on the beach! Wonderful race, soooo many twists and turns, so a slow course even though it is flat. Finish line was awesome, with live music, great local beer, and a huge spread with a couscous dish, a chicken/olive farfalle, a chickpea/feta dish, great brownies, etc., etc. Marathon #149 in the books. This evening we are going to check out the salty dog, see if we can sit outside...
