Sombrero Beach 15k, on a perfectly muggy, 71 degree cloudy morning. SO MUCH FUN! The race was divided into the 10k first, then we waited until 9:15 to run the 5k afterwards. Both Kathleen and I won our age groups in both races and the overall Senior Grandmaster award for the 15k. Perfectly grilled brats, hot dogs, beer, oranges, cookies of all kinds, perfect beach setting for the start and finish, just a wonderful surprise. We even won trucker hats! To top it all off, this was in the town of Marathon, Florida!
10k: 52:34, 1/1 age, 9/23 male, 13/50 overall
5k: 25:54, 1/6 in age, 17/75 male, 28/161 overall
