Wabash Trace Marathon doubling as the virtual Boston Marathon, on an overcast 55-62 degree morning with gentle winds -- pretty good conditions. This year the course was out and back from Shenandoah, and I did huge negative splits, 2:02:12 out, 1:55:00 back. Blake ran a 3:03, bonking after his crazy fast 1:28:18 first half. Great fun. So nice to be back racing, even with the covid masks on and the risky nature of running past people. I ran a smart race, pretty much doing what I thought I am capable of at this time, at this temperature, and on this course (700 feet of gain, all gentle). Feel very happy about this. BQ minus nearly 8 minutes.
