61F 44%H 39DP, at the Peachtree Ridge HS track. Originally planned to do 1wu+6HMP as a reasonableness test for this Saturday's Alien 13.1, but my legs were just too sore. I went to hard on Sunday's 15 and yesterday's (Monday's) 10, so I just took it easy, targeting between 10:40 and 10:30 for 8 miles. Ended up only doing 5.
for the usual miles 2 through 5 my average pace was 10:41, which I totally don't understand. Average HR 115.5 and average cadence 166.5, using metronome of 165. that last mile was at cadence of 168 which I find hard to believe. Why would it be different from the others?
I was putting in too much effort for the pace. Must have been due to tired legs, so instead of doing the 8 I only did 5. I may need some recovery time for the half marathon.
The lights came on at 5:45 PM at the track.
