38F 94%H 36DP, The Fast Pace 10k in Cumming, GA with Michelle C. Not used to the cold yet; it just started a day ago. This is a fair course with a very fast start (need to be closer to the front; I lost some time there) and a very fast finish with some rolling hills in the middle. The worst one is shortly after the 5 mile marker. This is a nice race for an annual event. I was number 459 and did get 3rd in age group which resulted in another medal that I don't need and a $20 massage certificate which I gave Michelle.
I do need to get over to Fleet Feet to give them my 12 full marathon medals and (I think) 12 half marathon medals for the Medals for Mettle project. I know they are going to be associated with that program, but I don't know if they have started yet. Too bad there isn't something useful to do with these other ones one gets at the occasional 5k or 10k.
Unfortunately they show Michelle as having been in the 5k and not the 10k. She has emailed them and hope she gets it straightened out.
