59F 90%H 56DP, The Atlanta Half Marathon in downtown Atlanta. A new course which was for me dramatically hilly. This was my worst half marathon time ever. I knew I was in trouble after about 50 yards into the race. I think I trashed my legs this past Sunday when I ran 10 miles while in afib. Then I did another 3 on Monday. I had totally no energy in my legs, and my right quad bothered me the whole way. Also I definitely don't like this new course. The hills are a lot worse than in the old course. We really lucked out weatherwise. My heart rate did spike up a number of times, but each time came down by itself. I thought it was going to be a problem and a limiting factor but it never was. At least this encourages me to think that after I rest my legs that I'll be able to pick up speed and distance without heart rate issues. Daughter Sue beat me again. I'm gonna have to correct this. I was number 5164. Don't think I want to even see the results. Sigh..... Don't know if I am going to be interested in doing this one again if they keep the same course.
