On the treadmill at work, just a slow recovery run. Trying to figure out heart rate mess. Tried gel on the electrodes but that had no effect. When I noticed the heart rate starting to zoom up I pressed on the heart rate monitor and the HR came back down. Hmmmm. So while running, I tightened the strap and the HR stayed down where it belonged. Hmmmm again. But as i started going faster on the treadmill the HR started going up again. I'll have to see how tight I can make the strap so that I will not get abrasions but can get rid of the HR anomalies. Might have to fashion some kind of cloth/soft something to put between the strap and the sides of my chest.
Started noticing a pain right over my right heel, but like a true runner I kept going. Pain kept getting worse during the run. I finally dialed the speed back to 12:30 mpm so that I could run more easily. Understand from someone else that that is the Achilles tendon, so better take care.
Footpod thought I went 7.6 miles, but only went 7.25.
