Notes

71F 100%H 71DP (Dew Point). Interesting day. Was going to try going slowly because I've had a slight calf injury, but as things turned out, I was in afib anyway. My pulse was 135 at the start of the race. I considered not running, but I thought that if I went slowly since it was only a 5k I might be ok. Well, I did finish, but was really woozy afterward and had to sit for 15 minutes or so before I thought I would be able to walk to my car. Checked my BP when I got home and it was only 78/60 with a pulse of 122. I took a nap and gave the afib a chance to end. After the afib ended I checked my pulse again and it was 97/58 with a normal pulse of 52. Gonna have to talk to the Dr about taking BP medication when my BP gets so low anyway. At least my calf was ok. So I should be good to go for tomorrow and maybe try a 10 mile training run. Think this was my first race ever in 100% humidity. The time was actually gun time since there were no starting mats. I was #1570. Can't believe I came in 3rd in AG. Last year I had to run an 8:19 pace for third place. I still like this race but still don't like the hills on the back side.
