Gray's Lake

Notes

Oh my gosh, this run was hard. I think I was still tired from yesterday's run, plus it was pretty warm and humid. Usually during my long runs, the first mile is hard, and the last 2-3 miles are hard. This time, every mile was mentally and physically difficult. My left quad was still bothering me, and I didn't bring enough to drink. There was maybe a mile or two towards the end that didn't feel really hard. I was so tempted at times to take walk breaks, but I knew that if I did, it would be really hard to start running again. My pace was slow, about 50 seconds per mile slower (on average) than my last couple of outdoor long runs. By the time I finished, I wasn't feeling great (from dehydration, I think), and I had salt marks on my clothes. Oh, and I misjudged my distance and finished my run about half a mile from the parking lot. That was a painful half mile walk.

I felt much better after drinking a lot of water, eating some salty food, and doing lots of stretching.
