plan was to run 12 easy miles and then pick up the speed at the end. My hope was to average sub 8:00 miles but I didn't have the legs for it. I think my tempo run on Wednesday and basketball on Thursday had me too tired.
I also ran today with no GU...something very different for me for this distance. I read that it may be good to run some long runs without the extra nutrition to get the body used to being depleted. then on marathon day, maybe I won't hit the wall so hard at the end.
