plan was to run (5) x slower 1st mile (around 9:00 pace) and then pick up the pace for 3 miles hoping to run closer to 8:00 pace.

my first faster 3 miles were sub 8:00 (which wasn't neccesarily the plan) and they seemed somewhat easy so decided I'd try and make all the faster miles sub 8:00 if possible. My 2nd "slow" mile felt really slow but was 8:20...decided not o intentionally go slower but to just be super comfortable.

1/2 way though I wondered if I could keep the pace up...maybe I could go sub 8:00 for the full 20. Almost made it. last 3 miles, I was only able to go sub 8:00 for the last one and averaged 8:08 which put me just over the 8:00 total pace.

I need to strength train MORE so I'm stronger at the end.
