I had hoped to run close to 8:00 pace on treadmill which I know would have been really fast. Shins started hurting during mile 2 so slowed down. Then I was able to slowly pick the pace back up again. Maybe I tried to speed up too fast? l was still unsure if the shin pain would come back so slowly picked up pace as time went on and finished fairly good. Was a tough workout and I'm guessing the same effort would have been closer to 8:15 pace outside.
