I wasn't sure what I would do when I started. first run since basketball 1 1/2 days ago and I typically have very heavy legs the next run. I felt fairly good early so decided to push the pace after my 1st mile and hoped to run the rest of the way at sub 8:00 or close to it but I just didn't feel like I had the next gear to drop below 8:00 pace...hopefully still heavy legs from basketball. Overall, I'm happy with the run...assuming that on a different day, I'll have the next gear to be able to run sub 8:00 comfortably.
