Notes

This workout is one of those that I will choose to remember when the going gets tough. Coming back from break, I am obviously not primed, but that is a good thing. I need to build up into the next heavy training cycle again. Want to make ECACs in the 3k or 1k, I think the 1k is more realistically personally, but we will see how it all goes down and where my speed actually is.

Today's workout was suppose to have those 1ks @ 3k goal race pace (HA!) which should have been around 3:43, but that was not going to happen today (b/c of break, at the very least). Today, I gritted it out because I chose this workout specifically to finish it. It was the one workout on the holiday menu that made me scared, but now I have done it at what will be my least in shape starting point, and hopefully if I get to do it again, the times will be much improved on. I think it is cool that I could still get down to 4:03ish paces, particularly on that 4th repeat, by relaxing and hitting something I hit 4 of easily at the Diplomat Open 5k. Let's make it happen and get in the work for winter break. Stay strong, gurl, and be confident in what God is going to do with you in running.

Coach Renner thinks we are just scratching the surface of your running potential. Do that hard work, stay faithful and trusting in the training, keep your coach's confidence close to your heart, and keep moving forward. You WILL get there, and the work now is even what will build for next year, so keep all that in mind if things do not get accomplished perfectly this year (although, let us hope to get on the PR train again, woot, because track is back after four years, and it is fun! Get with it, gurl!)

Also, Laurel HS track stinks worse than McDaniel. Huge holes in lane 1 forced me to run on the outside of the lane 1 for more than 50% of the workout.
