Notes

I had a general goal to shoot for 3:10. I ran very controlled 7:10-7:15 pace for the first half, coming through at 1:34:12. From about mile 14-19 I was feeling good and picked up the pace--I remember calculating at one point that I was on pace for 3:06. Unfortunately I had to back off after that, eventually slowing down from 22-25. Still, I never felt that I threw in the towel or walked. I finished in 3:08 and was really exhausted at the finish line.

The good: No blisters, chafing, bowel problems, etc. No hitting The Wall. Good pacing throughout. Clothing was fine. Good hydrating. Qualified for Boston (for what it's worth). The girl with only one leg didn't beat me this year...

The bad: My training since school started in August. The heat (I have never run a good race or even a good training run in hot weather.)
