My first attempt at a Fatrlek Interval workout went really well, and I didn't even puke! Although I did learn that Gatorade gives me wicked heartburn (in the middle of the 4 min. interval), yuck. Guess it's best to learn that now rather than later. I'll start experimenting by cutting it in different ratios with water... I also wore my "summer" running socks (Champion C9's) and realized they probably aren't good socks for running fast and sweaty in (almost got blister's under the balls of my feet). It may have also been a little bit of over-striding toward the end of the 4 Min. interval that led to the pre-blister burning sensation. Either way I think I'll be wearing my SmartWool socks from now on (need to buy a few more pair). They're just so comfortable and dry...
