Finally tried to really be smart and race a race. My warmup was shit, but I'm psyched I knew the course. The hill after the 1st mile were brutal, but fair. It was mostly single track going up them and tough to pass.
Started to really feel it in my legs at mile 2, but I got a second wind on the hill into the track and freaking motor home and passed 3-4 people.
Pretty stoked with this result.
No cooldown because dip shit here put his spikes in his bag with his water. When I got back my sneakers were soaked. As of this AM, with newpaper...still soaked.
I put 3.2 miles so this would show as my 5k XC PR. It was a XC 5k course.
