PM Run: I was feeling good for this one. my HR was normal til about 5mi. the first 5 i was in an area where the air was cooler so my HR stayed pretty normal. but i noticed that my HR was getting higher when i was getting back into town more. it was getting up to the high 170's and i saw it jump to 180 a couple times so i stopped at about 8.71mi to rest for a couple minutes and get my HR back down. i didn't physically feel like my HR was that high but i was playing it safe to recovery properly, esp for my long run tomorrow. i went another quarter mi about and stopped again and saw a water faucet. i thought maybe i was dehydrated b/c it was still warm in the evening from being such a hot day. well, my HR went down for just a little bit and got back up to high 170's again when i started up again. i tried experimenting w/ the tightness of the heart monitor wrapped around me, thinking that it effected how it read my HR. when i did that my HR went a little down shortly but just went right back up, so it wasn't that. i slowed down all the way to slower than 10:30 pace and it was still in the 160's 170's. very strange. hope i'll be ok for tomorrow. as far as my legs were, my calf wasn't really hurting this time; just very very slightly could feel it a little. i did put on Ultimate Healing Cream before running this time too.
