Had a great time at USAF marathon, Allyson, Eric and I got to the race site around 6a. They directed us to the parking area and we had over 1.5mile walk in the dark to the starting line :). The National Anthem was played and followed by the B2-Spirt fly over! That was awesome. Shortly after the gun went off and the race was on, Great course with some bumps along the way, (no Hudson Hills on this course) Mile 10 area was awesome with lots of spectators, the down side of the this race was around mile 21 when we merge with the half-marathons and that created a cluster, trying to get around them wasn't easy especially when some were walking 3-4 wide. But I would still recommend this marathon. Also thanks to all the Men and Women of the US Air force and the volunteers for doing a great job and cheering us on. Next up on the hit list is Steamtown, in Scranton PA, good thing this is only a 5hr drive. Guess I can do that sleeping :) Congrats to Allyson on a great first marathon as I nearly killed her at the end as we tired to BQ, we were on pace until mile 21, great pace on last two miles and Eric great effort and next time run your own race and don't follow the damn pacers :).
