Wow, what can I say! I forgot to start my watch; I wait for mile 1 to start it. This was a great race and perfect weather. Ran w/Bash and Jill for the first 5 miles and then Bash took. I ran with Jill until mile 23. Went through the half at 1:34:14 and felt good. They had a timing mat at 18miler and hit that at 2:08:56, Went through mile 20 at 2:23:21, that’s the fastest I have ever ran 20 miles and still feel good. Got mile 23 water stop just before the UP hill, grabbed some water and kept going, I was feeling good so I push it even more, Jill wasn't far behind, as I was getting closer I wanted to get it done, I hit 24 and 25 I looked at my watch and just kept going up the damn hill, got to the top at mile 26 and let loose and I must have passed 4 or 5 runners, (a few uphill’s in the last 3 miles) I looked at the clock and could not believe what I saw... Negative split first half 1:34:14 second half 1:33:03. Crowds were great, especially around miles 7 and 16 and the finish of course. Thanks to Jill for letting me hang with her. Thanks to team Ashley for cheering us on! All 5 Angry chickens ran very well on this day! Now time to rest until Saturday when I will do it all over again! This is a NEW PR for me, took 6 minutes off the old PR :)
