Very windy day on the rail trail. Couldn't get my pace where I wanted it. First mile was too fast. Second was faster, and about what I wanted. Third mile was too fast. So I walked 100 paces to catch breath. Stopped to get snow and to pass dog. Then ran again more slowly. Walked about a mile with Jim and Ben, then ran another 1.4 somewhere between tempo and easy. Not a successful tempo run but it let me know I can run faster given the right conditions. Flat trail.
