Notes

Solid long run workout this morning. Wanted to get something in but wasn't quite sure what. Thought about doing mile on-mile off but made a change after the first rep. Decided to do a 3 mile tempo + 3xmile @half marathon pace/mile at +30 marathon PR pace. Ended up going very well, the tempo felt controlled and I liked how smooth that pace felt. Settling into 6:30 was definitely doable but surprisingly harder on the mile repeats as opposed to the tempo; probably just because I was already tired at that point. Had to dodge around a few people who didn't understand what "get out of lane 3" meant, but we made it work. Solid start to the week and excited to continue growing stronger and more comfortable at these kinds of paces. Felt like I could have done one more set but glad I didn't!
