Notes

Tempoed the course before the high school boys had their turn. Had to constantly weave around alot of kids the first mile because they were warming up so I had to do a little more work than I wanted. Still felt lunch during the entire run and was a bit discouraged at how slow my first mile was. Thought it would feel a bit easier but then ended up just kind of settling into a grind effort, and not really a "race" effort. Felt like crap the last mile and they changed the course so you finish by going uphill by the startline and that part really killed me. Oh well, got the workout in even though it wasn't what I wanted. Still served its purpose to hopefully make 5:50-6 flat feel comfortable for the marathon (since I've been feeling comfortable at 6 flat but not 5:40 I figured some faster stuff would help). Course itself is 2.96 miles long so I made sure to take the course as wide as possible. Ran through the finish around 15:45ish and then continued to make it 3 miles. Didn't cooldown because the high school races were about to start and I was cold by the time they were over.
