Showed up again for the Dick Pond Fast Track workout, which was 6x1 mile with 2 minute rest in-between. I had no idea of goal pace or anything so I decided right before we started that I wanted to just run smooth and not kill it, especially since I was just in trainers. Figured 5:15's would be doable and I could adjust if I felt good/bad. Ended up running very consistently which was great and I made sure to never check my watch earlier than 100 meters to go. Very happy with this workout and I succeeded in staying controlled and smooth the entire time. Neal and another guy hung with me for the first one and then I was on my own. The only bad part about this workout was the fact that I was in lanes 3-5 for a good majority of it, especially on the turns. There were just too many people on the track who didn't know proper track etiquette so they made sure to spread out up to lane 4. Truthfully, you could probably take 3-4 seconds off of each interval because the constant movement into lane 3-5, but regardless it was a solid day and a great workout. Let the reigns out a bit on the last one and that was the one that felt the best!
