Notes

100 minute long run today, workout was 20 minute warmup, 60 minute steady, 20 minute cooldown. Got out the door about an hour after Kaytlin had left so that the dog wasn't alone for the entire 2 hours. Anyway, headed out and basically did an altered route of running back from 4 Lakes to NCC. Tried to get on the track just for a pace check but couldn't, so ran on the riverwalk to NCHS instead but couldn't get on that one either. Did a loop around the school and then went back Downtown and took that until Ogden Avenue and then ran that all the way until I got to Yackley and took the right back to 4 Lakes. Overall this route is pretty damn hilly and definitely not one that you should do if you're looking for a quick pace. Since I don't have heart rate and was told not to use GPS, I went off of effort. Overall I think I got the job done. It served as solid strength work, but next time I'm definitely choosing a flatter route lol. IT band was annoying and could feel it the whole time, but I know it's just super tight so I have to get better at the little things so this doesn't become an issue. Hopefully some proactive stretching and rolling will have me ready to go for Tuesday!

Of course Kaytlin :) anytime! She is such a sweetie, hands down couldn't have asked for an easier dog to work with. Glad you had fun with her on your run today ;)
