Wheaton Twilight 5K tonight! Went out in 4:43 and tried to stay connected to Yonny and Neal for as long as possible. The waterman twins made a move along with Bowman and that Tiza kid from Augie so I made a move and went with. Built throughout the whole thing and ended up making moves when I felt the shittiest and people let me go. The last 800 meters a different Augie guy tucked in right behind me and tried to kick me down. Turns out it was the same one from outdoor XC conference, except this time I didn't let him pass me! :) Passed Yonny with 200 to go before he repassed me and we kicked down Polly and some unattached guy. Overall I was hoping for a bigger PR but I know I can still run 14:30's by the end of the year, and I'm glad I ran competetivly and didn't give in when my body told me too :D A step in the right direction and another great race with the family!
