Gold Division race at Notre Dane today. Hamstring hurt on the warmup but I tried not to think about it and luckily I didn't really feel it. Got out and didn't get good position cause everyone was sprinting, we were on the outside, and it was humid and hot as shit. I didn't want to pull a Hanover so I stayed smooth through the first mile and then caught most of the guys about 1.5 miles in. I grouped up with Tim and for the rest of the race we started passing people left and right, and even though it was really tough with the weather it helped knowing we were at least moving up. Sam Kerk from Calvin was with us for 2.5 miles or so cause his coach kept screaming to pass us but we dropped him right before 4 miles. With about 800 to go Travis and Root caught Tim and I and we all started moving. Goose lead the charge for our pack, followed by me, Tim, and then Root. Times were really slow but the effort was there. Really happy that I was actually able to have a good Notre Dame race and score us some points for once. Ended up 27th compared to last years 35th and the competition was much tougher this year. Good momentum but lots more to do.
