Hip was getting better but I don't want it to regress so I stuck to the treadmill instead. Decided to do a tempo fartlek workout like Medium Modaff since I haven't done a longer tempo in forever.
Tempo: Very good start to the workout. I could feel the hernia/hip but it was alot better without all the turning so I just rolled with it. Ended up running 39:30 for 7 miles with the first mile being 6:07 so aside from that first mile I ran 5:34 pace. Last mile was right around 5:08ish, maybe a tad faster. Overall felt strong and smooth.
Fartlek: Ran a half mile at 6:48 pace and then threw in 4 x 2 minutes on, 1 minute off. Got rolling at a pretty good clip and did the 2.5 miles in 14:39.
Cooldown: Did 2 miles easy on the upstairs track with some of the guys who did Huffman. Legs felt ridiculously good. Gotta keep healing the hip so I can be 100% ready to go for Saturday!
