Notes

4 mile tempo progression, decided to go with this workout since it's a new favorite of mine. Went out unsure of how fast I was going and just made the goal to drop it down 10 seconds per mile so that I can continue to work on running fastest at the end of a hard run. The way the last few races have played out for me, I hold it together well for 4/5th's of the race but lose it at the very end. Not going to allow that to be a trending pattern. Did this in lane 3 of the upper track and it was nice not having to fight the wind and heat on this, although the constant turns make it a challenge. Had a solid negative split and finished hard, but felt like I could have kept going definitely for at least another 800/potentially a mile. Ran these in the mizuno inspires and still beat both my times from this weekend for my last 5k lol. Definitely a rough week of training last week but my body feels back to normal and I'm excited to keep gradually building mileage! Last 3 miles were 15:28 and the last 2 were 10:07. Not the longest tempo but had some good quality! Solid way to celebrate Global Running Day!
