Notes
The Metea boys had long run today so we went out North towards Batavia. Waited a bit for them to go but they all got caught at a light so I caught the majority of them much quicker than I thought I would. Before I even hit the mile though, I passed the other coaches running and Eric jumped in with me asking how fast/far I wanted to go. He said he could conversationally talk at 6:40 so we ended up running together. Needless to say, he was being hard on himself and could definitely go a lot faster than he thought. It was cool catching up with him and talking about Western Illinois, NCC, and just the high school days when he used to help out at Naperville North. We turned around and got hit hard with the wind which sucked but we still held the same pace, it just became a lot harder. The last mile was really really hard though, it got so windy that we were barely moving and my legs were really beginning to hurt. He threatened to punch me in the dick if we ever hammered a run like that again, but after being hit by Donnie I'm not sure there is much extra damage he can do. Overall solid run and the pace doesn't do it justice how hard we were moving those last few miles. Hopefully if he is healthy we can keep doing runs similar to this in the future, I hate running alone at practice all the time
Also, calf has been tight just walking around but never running, gotta watch that ish
