15 minute warmup, 17x400 w/50 meter jog rest, then a cooldown. Warming up legs weren't feeling that hot and my stomach was still full from last nights second dinner; but the workout ended up being pretty solid. Jimmy and I broke away after the first 4 and then I just made sure to keep us consistent. I was forcing the rest to keep us in that grinding feel that comes with the 5k and we did this for awhile but eventually Jimmy began to feel it and we slowed the recovery down a bit. Even with that, it still was a great workout for him, he's due for a big 5k PR and hopefully he can get it at Chicagolands. As for me, Jimmy made me work for it which was fun for me and I'm glad I was able to stay smooth despite not feeling so hot today. The original workout was 15x400's but as I was cooling down Chapman asked me to help pace Aaron for the last 2 reps of his workout. Fun day at the office and glad to get another workout in! May end up racing at Grand Valley next weekend, not sure yet but I think I could get close/break a few of my PR's right now!
