Windy day at the Turkey Trot, went out and led us through the first mile in 5:05 with me being a couple steps ahead of the pack. Nobody else wanted to help lead which sucked, and even when I moved out of the way they still kinda followed me so I was like "looks like I have been chosen as the sacrificial lamb" lol so it goes. Led till the turn and then got caught once the wind died down. A U of I guy dusted me the last mile which sucked because it would have been cool if he helped push the pace but it is what it is. Did some creeping and he ran a 30:10ish 10k a few months ago so at least I lost to somebody good. Was alot of fun though and gotta give the Neuqua kids major props, they ran really well today. Excited to see Naperville represented in high school nationals, can't wait to see how they do.
One of these days I'll win this race, at least I hope so :P
