Notes

First Blackwell workout of the year! Overall a very good one considering it was already hot and humid even at 6 am.

Tempo: we got going early again so we could avoid the sprint that usually is the last 2-3 miles and it worked. Got out smooth and just slowly caught up to Tim and once we did we had a strong cadence the rest of the way. Stopped about 50 meters early on accident and the time was 24:50 so right around 25:00 for 4.7 miles. Last mile always sucks but we got through it feeling tired but not gassed.

Hills: ugh, these rape you no matter how fit you are. Ended up in a solid pack with Ben right in front of me and Troy right behind. Never really changed around ever but I felt a lot stronger and had better form on the hills than in years prior. Still, form broke down the last 25 meters or so cause that part is so tough but I mentally tried my best to stay focused and to best the feeling.

Fartlek: Felt very smooth and fluid. I forced myself to start in the back and make sure I didn't force anything or go anaerobic and suddenly I found myself feeling really good (all things considering). Ran the fsrtlek with Tim and Roger and just focused on staying smooth and not killing it. All in all a tough but rewarding day on the pain train!
