Notes

Totally surprised myself today with this one, Close to 25 mph winds outside and it was pitch black so Topher and I went to the Vaughan. He was doing a short turnaround from a run earlier so we ran the first 2 miles easy and then I went and did a tempo. Wasn't going to try and kill it, goal was to run 6 flat pace and then just progressively cut down. The track was pretty crowded though so I spent a majority of my time weaving in and around people. Legs felt meh on the warmup and I actually got gas cramps early on so I was just trying to get comfortable. Ended up going through way faster and it felt surprisingly very comfortable so I decided to just roll with it. Was within myself the whole time till the last 800 when the gas cramps got really nasty and began to effect my breathing. Wore the 2000's and was happy to run this quick and be within myself. Fitness is building very nicely, I can't wait to see what a few months of consistent training gets me. If the gas cramps didn't happen I could have finished one more mile and it would have been nice to see a sub 26. Guess I'll have to do that some other time, but happy with the progress I'm making! Also, never stopped for a break after the tempo so surprised the cooldown was as quick as it was.
