Notes
Nice run this morning with the high school boys. Was able to jump in on their workout but I made sure that I was only going to go steady today. Ran with Group 3 for their tempo warmup which was really slow. We were probably 7:30's for the first mile and by the time the started tempoing they were only going 6:30 pace and they held it for like 1.5 miles. Ethan, Stern and I didn't like the slow pace so we dropped them to move up to group 2. Right when we finished their tempo run Ethan and I immediately went into doing Hill loops. We ended up doing 8 of them and each loop is just short of .7 miles. After that, We steady paced through the High Schoolers fartlek and I jumped in once or twice to help out some of the guys who were struggling. Nice to get a steady run on some small rolling hills! This wasn't a "workout" by any means but the run wasn't necessarily "easy" either.
Side Note: When we got back, we saw this Kenyan Woman doing 1k repeats on the track. We timed on of them and she was right around 5 flat pace. She flew in from Kenya a few days ago and is getting ready for a big race in the next few weeks. Hopefully it's Bix so I can put her on the pain train
