Pretty good race today! Weather actually was decent for most of the meet. Near the 5k it started getting really cold and a bit windy again but even so totally doable. I felt very smooth and in control the entire race. Waterman and Billy were leading and then I was leading the 2nd pack. Broke away to try and catch up but Whitemore dropped the hammer after the 2 mile and then just ran away from it. Got raped BUT I was able to stay smooth and catch up to Waterman and close the door for 2nd. Really pleased with how strong I felt and how the fast pace didn't feel bad. Last mile was hard but that's cause I was in no-mans land for most of it. Didn't close super hard but I opened up a 3 second lead on the Chicago guy who caught me the last lap so not too bad. Very excited to see what I can run once we start tapering!

Would have run 14:43ish if I had closed like I did last week...bummer :/
